About Us

We are a Buddhist meditation group affiliated with First Parish Arlington Unitarian Universalist, but open to all – including non-UUs and non-Buddhists! We hold a drop-in meditation on Monday evenings and maintain a mailing list of about 90 people. Please join us!

  • Mondays 6 pm at First Parish Arlington Unitarian Universalist – 630 Mass Ave., Damon Room

We sit silently for 35 minutes in the style of Vipassana (Insight) Buddhist meditation. Beginners are welcome. (Please note that this is an unguided meditation.) By focusing on mind/body sensations in meditation, it is possible to become more mindful in daily life. We meet year round, including most holidays. Usually 5-10 people attend. Chairs are provided. If you prefer to sit on a cushion or bench, please feel free to bring one.

A facilitator unlocks the door at 6 pm and rings the bell promptly at 6:15 pm. The sitting will end at 6:50 pm.

Enter the building from the door closest to the parking lot/library. Go up the stairs (or use the elevator) and through the door. Walk down the hall, and the Damon Room is the 2nd room on your right.
