Music-Centered Services

Twice per year, we present a music-centered service at First Parish Arlington in which a larger work, or unified group of works, takes the place of some of the spoken elements of our service. These services often include more instrumentalists than usual, and we welcome guest musicians to join us for these (usually) larger ensembles.

December Music-centered services are usually on Advent II or III, and Spring Music-centered services are usually on Palm Sunday (or earlier, to avoid other church events). Requiem Sundays do include a full sermon, but all the music is drawn from the Requiem of a single composer.
