Interim Music Director
(23 October 2023 – 30 June 2024)

The Interim Music Director works to support the mission of First Parish specifically in coordinating the musical life of the congregation throughout the program year (typically September through June).

The Interim Music Director, in coordination with the Ministers, First Parish Staff, and the Music Committee, provides interesting and diverse music of high quality that generally supports worship themes of the weekly Sunday services (and additional services such as holidays, Stewardship Sunday and Annual Meeting). The interim director arranges for musicians to provide music for the December Embrace the Darkness service and summer Sunday services as needed. The Interim Music Director is also responsible for coordinating a designated Music Sunday which features the music program, generally involving a major work or overarching theme related to music.

Religious Education Assistant

First Parish Unitarian Universalist is seeking a new religious education assistant, to support our vibrant program for children and youth! Please submit a cover letter and resume, along with two professional references as soon as possible to officemanager@firstparish.info. Applications will be reviewed, and interviews will be scheduled from there. We hope that our new religious education assistant will start on October 1st or soon after. Send inquiries to Rev. Responsibilities:
The religious education assistant will work on Sunday mornings and evenings, and collaborate with the Minister of Religious Education, other religious education staff, First Parish ministers, and volunteers. They will work approximately 18 hours per week, to assist and support in First Parish religious programming for children and teens. Prorated benefits (health, life) are available.

These programs include:

● Sunday morning nursery and preschool program
● Sunday morning classes for grade-school children: sometimes grade-specific, sometimes “all together”
● All Ages Sunday morning Worship Services
● Sunday evening classes for teens: Youth Group (high school aged), Coming of Age (8th graders), and Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education (7-8th graders)
