Interim Music Director (23 October 2023 – 30 June 2024)
The Interim Music Director works to support the mission of First Parish specifically in coordinating the musical life of the congregation throughout the program year (typically September through June).
The Interim Music Director, in coordination with the Ministers, First Parish Staff, and the Music Committee, provides interesting and diverse music of high quality that generally supports worship themes of the weekly Sunday services (and additional services such as holidays, Stewardship Sunday and Annual Meeting). The interim director arranges for musicians to provide music for the December Embrace the Darkness service and summer Sunday services as needed. The Interim Music Director is also responsible for coordinating a designated Music Sunday which features the music program, generally involving a major work or overarching theme related to music.
