Do you feel safe and welcome in Arlington?

Community Meeting on Sunday, November 17, 3- 5 pm

at First Parish, 630 Mass Ave in Arlington

Español abajo.

Do you have a personal story about gender discrimination, homophobia, racism or discrimination based upon their sexual identity, disability or substance addictions?

Given the recent writings of Lt. Rick Pedrini of the Arlington Police Department and the community response, several residents have organized this community gathering.  The purpose is to create a safe, open forum to collect people’s stories and to hear from others. The hope is to collect de-identified stories, identify themes and concerns, and communicate them to town and APD officials in the hopes of addressing community concerns and making the  community safer and more welcoming for all.

This event is co-sponsored by Fighting Racism in Arlington, a grassroots group in Arlington, the Arlington Diversity Task Group, Arlington Fights Racism and The Arlington-Teosinte Sister City Project. The Arlington Police Department (APD) will not be present.

Childcare and snacks will be provided.

RSVP via Facebook ,

email FightingRacismInArlington@gmail.com

or call 617-584-9428 for more information.
