Unitarian Universalist churches are governed with “congregational polity.”  This form of governance means that the members of our  congregation have the power and responsibility to establish its bylaws, set its own mission, call and hire its own clergy of their choice.  Members of a governing board and other committee members as described in our bylaws are elected at our annual meeting.  The Parish Committee is the name of our governing board.  It is often referred to as ParCom.
