RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
Reverend Erica and I hope your child will be able to join us to celebrate winter in the First Parish courtyard this Sunday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. Meet us there for an outdoor chapel service, including some of our familiar rituals, as well as community building and fun activities with snow.
We will learn about “Snowflake Bentley”, his contributions to science about the unique qualities of ice crystals and snowflakes, and we will talk about how each of us is unique and unrepeatable. Bundle up and dress warmly! We plan to be outside together for at least 30 minutes. Extra winter gear will be made available for those who need extra hats or mittens.
Evening programs (OWL and Youth Group) will be held virtually. Please email Tina Schultz –Tina@firstparish.info – or Rose Sawyer Marsh – firstname.lastname@example.org –
for the Zoom links. A reminder that YAC, the Youth Adult Council, will meet at 6 pm, via Zoom, on January 23.
We plan to meet outside again on Sunday morning, January 30, weather permitting. Keep an eye on emails and the website for updates on those activities as well as our evening programs.
Thank you to our families for your continuing patience as the RE Committee and I create activities that meet the varying levels of comfort for gathering our children together in community.
