Absolutely nothing is more important than getting out the vote in November 2020.

Remember, we do not work on campaigns for or against candidates.

Unitarian Universalists across the country are working together to fight voter suppression and increase voter turnout in November.

We are contacting voters who have been taken off voting rolls or faced with complicated restrictions including unreasonable rules regarding identification.

Right now, at First Parish in Arlington, we are writing post cards and making phone calls to contact these voters encouraging them to check their voter registration and register if necessary.

We are also posting other local events in which our members can participate with other congregations or organizations.   For example, there will be a “Post carding” event at Nero’s Café this Tuesday March 10th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

We expect to have an event at First Parish Arlington on April 5th.  More details to come.

If you are interested in helping us in this effort, please contact the Social Justice committee at socialjustice@firstparish.info.
